Discovery Table No. 1

Quilted Patchwork Live Edge

THB 520,000  – SOLD OUT

Very rare and wide single slab of reclaimed Makha wood. This giant tree would have been at least 180 years old before succumbing to natural causes and being taken down. Within the same Thai family for three generations, this was the largest slab in their collection. Quilted inlays are added for strengthening and repairing sections of the slab which were decayed.  Alternating the direction and angle the wood inlays are cut and their grain figure allows for a holographic effect reminiscent of a precious jewel. Three solid brass butterflies scattered throughout the top cover up the original nail holes. The legs are made by a team who normally build structural components for skyscrapers. Cut from a solid billet of stainless steel with a bespoke mounting system.

  • Solid mirror polished stainless steel
  • Solid Brass Butterflies
