Tray Stands for Audemars Piguet House (London)
When I designed these jackstands for Audemars Piguet House in London, my intention was to create objects that reflect the same discipline and respect for materials that define the brand’s watchmaking.
I chose polished stainless steel for its clarity and strength, finishing every surface to a mirror polish that recalls the exacting casework of a fine timepiece. The vegetable‑tanned leather straps, thick and resilient, are secured with stainless steel rivets set at precise pressure—functional details that also carry a tactile honesty. For the wooden elements, I used quarter‑sawn golden teak, selected for its stability and luminous grain, cut to reveal its natural precision and enduring beauty.
Every joint, rivet, and surface was considered with care. These jackstands are not decorative gestures; they are functional supports elevated through craftsmanship. In their honesty of materials and precision of execution, I believe they resonate with Audemars Piguet’s values—excellence, tradition, and innovation expressed through uncompromising detail.
