A set of Vinyl record sound system cabinets commissioned for a returning Bangkok client, who wanted a storage unit matching the original Hermes furniture in the room.

I built the structures in solid American White Oak and stained in in the ‘Greyed Oak’ finish matching his original furniture. I hand picked quarter-sawn French Oak wood drawer fronts, selected for the beautiful medullary rays. The drawer boxes are hand made in solid quarter-sawn Tabak wood, with full dovetail construction and used under mount soft close drawer slides. The size and weight of the solid wood drawers is quite high. However only a light touch is required to open and close them. This is due not only to the high quality hardware, but also to the accurate construction ensuring all components are parallel and square.

The middle shelf is in tempered glass with a rich Bronze tint, and is held using my own custom made adjustable hardware in stainless steel.

 I custom developed billet stainless steel feet with teflon dampers.

Every detail and element is made to work together in harmony and to create something special.
