This one of a kind desk was commissioned for a wonderful couple who wanted a special desk for their home office in Singapore.

 

The top is made from two perfectly symmetrical slabs creating a mirrored image effect. The desktop features wild prominent grain patterns with deep contrasting colour tones. Each side of the desk contains two dovetail-constructed drawers with internal trays. Rare burl wood was selected for the drawer fronts with a beautifully hand machined solid brass handle inset into the wood. Two custom made grommets also in solid brass elegantly provide a cable management solution in combination with a wood tray underneath.

 

The legs are made from a very rare old reclaimed hardwood that is inherently dark brown to almost black in color. Long lasting bridle joints and mortise and wedged tenon construction is used in combination with lessons learned from the yacht building industry. Solid brass pins further reinforce the legs and a bit of gleaming detail.
