Reflections – Reclaimed Merawan Wood Bench

Bench made from a reclaimed Merawan wood beam from an old bridge in Khao Yai province, Thailand. Some of the oldest wooden boats and bridges existing in the world were built with this wood.

“Reflections” has two intertwined meanings: In one term the mirror-polished supports throw back light. Bouncing of prisms and extended the world into another dimension. In the other those are drawn into the bench may give serious thought, or ponder on mysteries of ourselves and the universe we live in.
